Why homeschool and travel?

Traveling Europe in a camper for a year involves homeschooling my daughter, but I have more reasons to do that as well.

Reasons to homeschool my daughter.

1. I'm not convinced that sitting in a classroom with 29 other kids being talked to and writing things down is the best way for children to learn. It's too much listening and writing and not enough looking and doing.

2. Primary schools in the UK are closing gardens and ponds to make room for more academics, or due to lack of funding.

3. Employers are asking for more "soft skills" things that can't be measured in exams, such as communication skills, leadership and flexibility while schools and being directed towards more academic skills and more rigidity.

4. My daughter can travel with us.

Reasons to explore Europe in a camper with our kids.

Reasons to get rid of our stuff, make our jobs portable, and explore Europe in a camper!
